Hello everyone,
I’m Will, I have a few questions pertaining to the installation of CUDA along with Pytorch, and Python 3.12.
I have an RTX 4080, currently I have driver version 546.33, which is the latest. I also have python version 3.12 installed.
I play a lot of AAA video game titles on my pc. I noticed that the Cuda software installer wants to install the older display driver along with Nvidia HD Audio and Geforce Experience.
My question is since I’m using a current GPU and Nvidia HD Audio drivers, is it necessary to install an older driver also software like Geforce Experience which i dont need?
I feel as I will lose performance and obtain bugs that where fixed by reverting back to older drivers in video games.
Also, will python 3.12 work with Pytorch version 2.1.2 and Cuda 12.3?
I’m trying to have a successful installation locally on my machine for my new project. Thank you all for you insight and forgive me if I’m not wording everything correctly.
Regards,
Will
