I’m interested in testing the new “Super Mode” included in the latest SDK release. I have a couple of questions:
Could you please clarify if activating this mode requires flashing a specific bootloader or custom image, or does it already work with the standard image provided?
Besides increased power consumption, are there other important considerations or disadvantages when using “Super Mode”? Specifically, I’d like to know if it significantly increases heat generation or if any additional cooling measures are recommended.
Hi,
It is enabled on standard Jetpack 6.2. If you use SDKManager or run manual command to flash the developer kit, the mode is enabled.
When system is in the mode and running high loading task, power consumption can go close to 25W. You can run $ sudo tegrastats to compare power consumption and system status in two power modes.
