I have an app in UE 5.6 in which sometimes the frame rate drops a lot. Looking at the profile I see some diagonal red bars and while in there the gpu completely stalls, even the various clocks are down. I read multiple ideas like a context switch of an external application but I don’t see any context switch during that period. I have a suspect but I’m not able to find the smoking gun, I see a lot of demoted video memory in unreal and I believe it is a huge stall in the compute waiting pages from the RAM. If I’m right how can I track the stall because of the demoted video memory ? Stalled on a long scoreboard should not contain that specific case?
