Regarding the Jetson AGX Orin issue

Hi Teams,

Using the R36.3 package, the core PCIe was connected to two external WX1860 network cards. However, after continuous restarts, LSPCI occasionally failed to scan the WX1860 controller. When restarting to BIOS, it was found that the WX network card controller could no longer be recognized during the BIOS phase. It was determined that the PCIe status was already abnormal before BIOS.
Then the hardware measured the reset signals of the two PCIe channels, and found that when an abnormality occurred, the reset signals of the two PCIe channels were inconsistent, and one channel did not issue a reset signal. Has the firmware of NVdia encountered this situation of abnormal PCIe reset signals?

Let me add some hardware information:
It should be a wx1860AL4 network card with two channels of network communication, one of which (PCIE C5 channel) can work normally every time it is turned on. The other channel (PCIE C7 channel) occasionally experienced abnormal power on. After measuring the reset signals of two channels, it was found that the normally functioning channel (PCIE C5 channel) had two reset signals in the RST signal after power on. They were low for 6-7 seconds and then pulled high, followed by another 10 second low and then pulled high. Which channel (PCIE C7 channel) experiences occasional abnormalities, regardless of whether it is normal or abnormal after startup, is only maintained at the RST level for about 600-700ms when powered on, followed by a continuous high level.

Thank you!

I feel there are 2 issues that need to be clarified.

  1. Rel-36.3 is a little bit too old to use. Maybe upgrading is a better choice.

  2. C7 on Orin AGX is not enabled by default. Are you sure your configuration in pinmux and kernel DT are correct?
