Request for Access to ACAR 24-1 and Hardware Compatibility Inquiry

Hello.
We are planning to build a development server leveraging various functions of the NVIDIA AI Aerial Platform, including components such as ACAR, AODT, and Sionna.

Our intended setup is based on an “Intel CPU + A100 GPU” configuration. However, we’ve noticed that in the latest ACAR 25-1, the A100 appears to be EOL. Therefore, we are considering using “ACAR 24-1”, which still supports the A100.

  1. Would it be possible to access the older ACAR versions officially? If so, could you please guide us to the proper location or procedure?
  2. We would appreciate your insights on whether the “Intel CPU + A100” combination is still a viable platform for basic development and evaluation with the Aerial stack.

We are aware that H100 is the recommended platform, but due to cost constraints, we are evaluating whether the A100 can still serve for development efforts effectively.

Hi @hw.cho ,

Welcome to the Aerial forum!

It is correct that A100 is EOL.

Please note that A100 is expected to work with the most recent version of Aerial release with limited functionality.

  1. We would appreciate your insights on whether the “Intel CPU + A100” combination is still a viable platform for basic development and evaluation with the Aerial stack.

Can you please provide more details about what you are planning to do? Specifically, what is your expectation on the functionality for basic development and evaluation?

Thank you.
