Only to find both the 510 and 495 driver series don’t support it?! What’s going on? When will there be driver support?

Support for it was added in driver 2020-09-17 version 455.23.04
What makes you think it’s not supported?
Please run nvidia-bug-report.sh as root and attach the resulting nvidia-bug-report.log.gz file to your post.

After a reboot, it seems the old driver that was installed left the card in a weird state, where the modprobe of the new driver reported unsupported card.

Now I have this issue instead:

Switching to 510.60.02 fixed it.
