The system experiences random, critical freezes during operation (chrome browsing, Visual Studio code). The freezes are characterized by a flood of nvidia-modeset errors indicating that the GPU System Processor (GSP) has ceased responding to RPC calls, eventually leading to the GPU falling off the bus. This occurs most frequently during power state transitions or varying loads.
I would appreciate your help understanding whether the problem is due to the newer hardware and Linux kernel available in Ubuntu 24.04.4, or if it is due to something else. Thank you in advance!
