[SOLVED] Cannot wake up if suspended without X running with GTX 680

Hi guys,

I have an issue with GTX 680. The system will not wake up if suspended without X running. It seems to hang while the kernel is booting. The PC will not react to anything, even Num Lock key does not work.

I’m using the latest 364.19 driver together with Linux 4.2.5, my distro is Arch Linux.

If I suspend while X is running everything works seamlessly.

Do you have any ideas how to tackle this issue?

Thanks!

I do not like to give up, so I continued exploring. And here is the fix. Everything works fine if DRM kernel mode settings is enabled as described here:

Hope it will save some time for you guys!
