SuperMicro fails to boot with ConnectX-3 Pro EN - AHCI issue

Have a new SuperMicro server that fails to boot when it has a new ConnectX-3 Pro EN card in it. The sever hangs during the “DXE–Onboard AHCI Device Detection” phase of the boot.

A couple of things I have tried:

  1. Put the card in another server to update the ConnectX-3 Pro EN firmware: 2.40.5000 → 2.40.7000

  2. Went into FlexBoot and tried to disable booting from the nic (for both ports):

Set the legacy boot protocol to None

Disabled all the iSCSI general parameters

Any other things I can try? Thanks. Bud

This was resolved with a beta BIOS from Supermicro. Seems to be working fine now.
