The scailng problem of imported scene in AODT

Hello,

Based on the AODT documentation, we generated the USD file via the Scene Importer. The format appears to be correct, but when we deploy the UE and start the simulation, the UEs are randomly generated, as shown in the attached video.

If we trace the log in aodt_sim, we can find the warning message as follow:

I believe the problem may be due to the scaling of the generated USD file. Both the GML and USD files are attached in the zip file. However, I am not sure how to fix this issue. Can anyone provide suggestions or comments?

@junxian In the “batch mode”, one batch corresponds to a UE drop at a random location. Within this batch, the UE will move around in a random trajectory for the “duration” amount of seconds. For a simpler deployment please try this:
In scenario settings, set the following:

  1. number of ues = 1
  2. “batches” =1
  3. Simulation mode - “duration”
  4. duration - 10sec
  5. interval - 1 sec
  6. Manually add the UE at desired location (right click on the map at desired location->aerial->deploy ue)
  7. Generate UEs
  8. Start UE mobility

Then you will see the UE move around for 10 seconds

@kpasad1 Thank you. We have tested this workflow, and the results are correct. However, for the RAN simulation, we can only use the slot mode. Could you please guide us on how to repeat the workflow for the RAN simulation?

@junxian RAN only supports slot mode. This is because RAN simulation must conform to the 5G numerology. You enable batches. At every batch, the UE is dropped at a random location and will run for the number of configured slots.

@kpasad1 Thank you for your reply. Is it possibile to set the mobility model in the slot mode for the RAN simulation?

@junxian Can you elaborate by mobility model requirement? You can set waypoints for the UE to move along. However, since the sampling happens on milli second intervals, you will not observe any significant movement.

  1. Next to the live button on the top right, there is a drop down menu
  2. Do end and merge.
  3. From the file menu, so save
  4. Send us the saved USD file.

We also observed that the UEs experienced slight movement between slots (with the speed set at a maximum value of 138 m/s). Thank you for your guidance throughout this process.
