True 10bit display nvidia driver for linux

Hi all, I’m new here. Just setting up a VFX Artists workstation. I went through the process of installing the nvidia drivers and CUDA drivers for linux but I noticed in the Nvidia Settings that theres no option to output true 10 bit. Is it possible to look into this?
Thanks

Hello @stevejjd and welcome to the NVIDIA developer forums.

10bit support has been part of NVIDIA drivers for a very long time. The issue is that the window manager of whatever Linux Distribution you are using also has to support it AND run on top of the NVIDIA driver.

As to date that is not generally the case. Some custom distros or special purpose PCs have this already enabled, but to my knowledge this is still case by case.

Some people have tried to force this by certain X config settings or modification of the window manager, but with varying success.

Thanks!
