upgrade to Mavericks

I (perhaps unwisely) upgraded from Mac OS LION (10.6.8 I think it was) to Mavericks. I get this error when trying to use the F90 compiler:

pgi-f95-osx64: LICENSE MANAGER PROBLEM: Failed to checkout license
pgi-f95-osx64: LICENSE MANAGER PROBLEM: Invalid host.
The hostid of this system does not match the hostid
specified in the license file.
Feature: pgi-f95-osx64
Hostid: 3c07545ef6ee
License path: /opt/pgi/license.dat:
FLEXnet Licensing error:-9,57
For further information, refer to the FLEXnet Licensing documentation,
available at “www.flexerasoftware.com”.

I have this version:

pgf90 11.10-0 64-bit target on Apple OS/X -tp sandybridge
Copyright 1989-2000, The Portland Group, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
Copyright 2000-2011, STMicroelectronics, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

I have two questions:

  1. Is there a workaround? I am using the same laptop as before.

  2. I realize my compiler version is a bit old now. I saw that the 32 bit version of the FORTAN compilers are available for Mavericks. What about the 64 bit version?

Thanks,

Jerry

We have noticed that moving to Mavericks caused some network devices
to ‘disappear’ and some to ‘appear’. As a result

% lmutil lmhostid

generates a different number than 3c07545ef6ee.

Solution: generate a new license using the new hosted.
