I’m attempting to update to version 10.5. I unzipped/tar the software to a separate directory (/root/GPU_Software/pgi/linux86-64/10.5). From there it does not recognize the ./install command.
When I attempted to execute the software I got the message telling me to run makelocalrc.
I then executed: /root/GPU_Software/pgi/linux86-64/10.5/bin/makelocalrc -x /root/GPU_Software/pgi/linux86-64/10.5/
Now, when I compile (pgf90), I get the message:

Your license is only valid for the 10.2 and earlier releases. If you are on subscription, you’ll only need to update your license file. If you are not on subscription, then you will need to upgrade in order to use the 10.5 compilers.
