pgf95/77 error 21,126

I am trying to use the Fortran compiler in PVF, however, when I attempt to compile I get the following license error message:

pgi-f95-win32: LICENSE MANAGER PROBLEM: Failed to checkout license
pgi-f95-win32: LICENSE MANAGER PROBLEM: License file does not support this version.
Feature: pgi-f95-win32
Application version > License version: 8.0 > 7.2
License path: C:\Program Files\PGI\license.dat;C:\PROGRA~1\PGI/license.dat;
FLEXnet Licensing error:-21,126
For further information, refer to the FLEXnet Licensing documentation,
available at “www.acresso.com”.

I’m very new to this program and compiling. Is this feature not included in the free educational license that was offered?

Hi agerman,

It looks to me that you’re trying to use the 8.0 PVF with a license for 7.2. While older versions will work with newer licenses, the converse is not true.

Please send a note to license@pgroup.com and include your PGI PIN number. Our customer service team can then help you with upgrading your license to 8.0.

Hope this helps,
Mat

Thank you for that info, Mat. I’ve received a new license for the 8.0 version and I’m still getting an error. Except this time the error is -18,147. Any ideas?

FYI,

I asked customer service to contact agerman directly. The customer needed to restart the license manager in order for to read the new file as opposed to the cached (old) version.
