Use oceanFFT example code test cuda gpu, agx orin kernel crash and reboot

Hi,

To further debug, could you set your monitor default resolution to 1080p and try it again?

Thanks.

Hi, AastaLLL

If we use 1080p monitor(hdmi connector) test this issue, it will maybe take one day or more day can reproduced this issue. but last week we tested 2.5 days can not reproduced it(1080p monitor).

Sure, we can try it again.

Thanks.

Hi,

Sorry that there is some incorrect message.

We test it on the Orin devkit with the “DP” port.
Since devkit only has a DP port, could you share how you connect to the HDMI monitor?
More, can this issue be reproduced with a DP connector?

Thanks.

Hi,AastaLLL

We are not use agx orin devkit, we used our own hardware, the hardware designed to use hdmi connector for display. we use dcb_tool modify display dtsi for our hardware platform.
hdmi_dtsi.txt (27.3 KB)

We also have a agx orin devkit(DP port) hardware, we will use it double check this issue.

And based on your experience, this crash issue maybe happen under what conditions?

Thanks.

Hi,

Since we don’t meet the same issue on our devkit, if you don’t meet it either, this might relate to the custom board design.

If so, we will redirect your topic to my colleague for further info.

Thanks.

Hi,AastaLLL

We will check this issue at agx orin devkit, check this issue is only at our custom board or not. we will share more info with you.

Thanks.

Is this still an issue to support? Any result can be shared?

Hi,kayccc
We check use devkit and our own hardware board, we found if use 4k@30hz(dp to hdmi(devkit),our board is hdmi connector) for test, both of all, this issue tested 5 day are not happened. if used 4k@60hz hdmi(our board can set up to 4k@60hz), this issue can still reproduced. because devkit used a dp to hdmi connector, only support up to 4k@30Hz, so we can not test devkit at 4k@60hz, so we can not ensure this issue can be happened at devkit.

Thanks.

Hi,

Let us check this internally.
And share more info to you later.

Thanks.

please try to use jetpack5.1.4 to reproduce this. 5.1.1 is too old to check.
