According to the Jetson Orin NX Series and Jetson Orin Nano Series Product Design Guide, when the module is in SC7 (Sleep) mode, the output pins will retain their state.

This is mentioned in the description of the MOD_SLEEP* pin (Pin #178):

“Module Sleep. When active (low), indicates module has gone to Sleep (SC7) mode. Control of devices to be disabled in sleep mode.”

Additionally, the guide states that the output pins will keep their state in SC7 mode, as mentioned in the description of the CLK_32K_OUT pin (Pin #210):

“Sleep/Suspend clock. Buffered on the module. Sleep/suspend clock for devices such as M.2 Key E. Output CMOS – 1.8V. Note: Output pins will retain their state in SC7 mode.”

This means that when the module enters SC7 mode, the output pins will maintain their current state, rather than being driven low or high.

It’s worth noting that this behavior is specific to the Jetson Orin NX Series and Jetson Orin Nano Series modules, and may not be applicable to other Jetson modules or devices.

In comparison, the Jetson AGX Xavier module has a different behavior in SC7 mode, where the output pins are driven low. However, this is not the case for the Jetson Orin NX Series and Jetson Orin Nano Series modules, which retain their state in SC7 mode.

Therefore, to answer your question, the state of the pin when in SC7 mode is that it will retain its current state, rather than being driven low or high.

Hi helianyi1,

Are you using the devkit or custom board for AGX Orin?

As my experience, it will keep the state after entering sleep as those pins will not be re-configured in SC7.

custom board

okay, please let us know if it meets the result you found or you have further question about this.
