Will Open Source driver/GSP usage be required for drivers after 580?

There are still so many issues with the Open Source / GSP that haven’t been fixed. Will it be required after 580?

After 580 there will be no proprietary module, the open source module requires GSP firmware to function.
580xx will become a legacy driver that you could continue to use to avoid the issues with the Open Source / GSP

So about 5 years of real support for 40 series? Nice.

Your card will be supported for years more with the latest releases (>580) and new features.

If you have GSP issues preventing you from using newer driver versions, then you only have about 5 years of support.
