Windows 11 runs into blue screen during/after display driver installation

Hello,

Brief issue description:
Nvidia drivers used 475.14 and 552.86 are ending in a bluescreen during or after driver installation.
The systems are experiencing bluescreen 0x116 on Windows Bootup until Recovery Screen is shown.
Only a boot into safe mode is possible.

Bluescreen: 0x00000116
Details: Bug Check 0x116 VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE - Windows drivers | Microsoft Learn

Behavior 475.14:
On silent installation the installer seems to fail (with exit code 0).
One device shows that the driver is installed, rest of cards show Microsoft Basic Video driver is used.
On manual installation of the driver via GUI the system ends in a blue screen 0x116.

Behavior 552.86:
Silent installation fails (with exit code 0).
More than one card may have a driver installed. After reboot the system is cycling into the mentioned bluesccren until recovery screen appears.
Only a boot into safe mode is possible.
Besides: On the machine #1 not all Nvidia cards got a driver installed. This happened on machine #2 only with driver version 475.14.

I’m seeing the second problem you described. So far I’ve observed it with 553.09 and 528.33. I also tried installing via Windows Update, Optional Updates which offered “27.21.14.6296” but I got the same result.

I have a single RTX A6000 running on a SuperMicro X13SRA-TF with BIOS 2.0 and I’ve tried updating to 2.1b. I have resizeable BAR enabled with the GPU set to physical_display_enabled_8GB_bar1 via the NVIDIA Display Mode Selector. I also saw the problem without resizeable BAR enabled.

I don’t see any issues when installing on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise; this only happens on the LTSC channel. I have applied all available Windows updates.

I also tried 555.99 and 560.76 but the results were the same.

Has anyone solved thia issue? I am having the same problem with my rtx a5000 after install windows 11 2h update and the 550 driver

I’m having the same problem in a SuperMicro X12SPA-TF motherboard. Tried a couple of different NVIDIA cards, most recently RTX 4070 Ti.

Same issue here. Has anyone solved this issue? :(
