Ubuntu 22.04 No display after Nvidia Driver installed

Hello, I have a problem with my Nvidia Geforce 730 PCI card.

I have Ubuntu 22.04 with 4 monitors. 2 on the Integrated Video card and 2 on the PCI Nvidia card, and one day the two monitors attached to my Nvidia card just stopped working while using the Nvidia driver v.390.
But if I revert to the generic x.org Nouveau display driver the situations is reversed and I can only see the monitors attached to the Nvidia PCI card and only the mouse icon on the other two monitors.

I also noticed that the latest Ubuntu kernel 6.5 was preventing me from installing the Nvidia Driver, so I reverted to 6.2.0-39.40.

I also reinstalled Ubuntu 22.04 on another disk temporarily and everything is working fine. Even the nvidia-settings app recognizes all 4 monitors. So the Nvidia PCI is not broken and working fine.

I can only assume something happened in the latest updates.

Has anyone had this problem?

After 3 days I finally found the problem.
As I say before, I was not able to reinstall the NVIDIA driver with Ubuntu kernel 6.5, so I reverted to 6.2.0-39.40, but that wasn’t enough.

Apparently at some point the nvidia-drm modeset was set to 1 and was preventing the display of the monitors attached to the Nvidia card. I don’t know why and what this option means, but setting it back to 0 does the trick.

I followed this instructions

And now all 4 monitors are working with the Nvidia driver loaded.

Hope this helps someone else, hopefully in less than 3 days.
