Xserver-1.13.3 segfault with nvidia-173.14.37 on fedora-18 x86_64

I tried to install nvidia-173xx from rpmfusion on fedora-18 (xfce spin).
The X server crashes on startup with a segmentation fault, apparently in /lib64/libXfont.so.1.
