3rd Party DGX Sparks - Ongoing Support

Do the 3rd Party DGX Sparks run the same base OS package as Nvidia’s DGX Spark? I have seen that the 3rd Party models have some UI customizations, but not sure if this is embedded customization into the OS or not. My concern is receiving ongoing support from any of the companies besides Nvidia if going with one of the non-Nvidia DGX Sparks. If I were to buy one of the other models, will I run into support issues down the road? I’m not talking about hardware issues - strictly looking at being able to get ongoing OS updates as long as Nvidia supports their Spark.

As a cautionary measure, I only purchased the FE. In my opinion Nvidia shall be more interested than OEMs to support its own hardware (or to put it differently, shall Nvidia stop supporting the GB10 there will be very little OEMs can do about that). That being said, I don’t see material differences between the boards found in the FE and third-party manufacturers’, save the PCIe Gen4 found in the 1TB models and the Gen5 preferred by the 4TB ones, and the slightly different cooling strategies. As per the latter, there may be differences at the BIOS level. Yet it should be possible to run the stock DGX OS image across all models, as the customizations in the OS are aesthetical in nature.

Isn’t the Gen4/Gen5 thing just the type of drive that was included depending on capacity? I figured the bus itself was Gen5 across all models, but maybe I was mistaken.

bus itself supports Gen4/Gen5. Gen 4 or Gen 5 is determented by the controler on the SSD drive card.

Yes. All GB10 units run the same DGX Spark OS.
