Just curious, can you install 2nd OS on DGX Spark? While I want to use DGX Spark for some AI/ML work, just wonder if it has flexibility to run some other tasks by boosting into a separate OS (linux, windows) when it is idle without AI/ML tasks?
Since DGX Spark is on the ARM architecture, you won’t be able to run Windows properly. DGX OS is a customized Ubuntu, you don’t need to install another Linux.
The GB10 SoC is the same as N1 which will support Windows.
Still the ARM edition of Windows, not the regular x86.
So don’t expect to click on your favorite .exe files and it runs without any issue if it was not designed to run also on ARM architecture.
Well looks like the DGX Spark doesn’t have a TPM module so Windows is moot.
The DGX Spark does have a TPM module, why do you say it doesn’t?
It does? I’ll see if I can find it then, I got blocked by the TPM requirement trying to install.
Linux doesn’t seem to find it either.
spark@spark-XXXX:~$ sudo dmesg | rg TPM
[sudo] password for spark:

TPM is disabled by default but can be enabled in the UEFI menu. Again DGX Spark doesn’t support Windows.
Can Asus GX10 install windows?
Yeah I understand, even if it does work, it isn’t supported for this product, while the N1/N1X or whatever is coming in the future is.
Since the SoC for them is the same, it should work fine (there is bunch of hearsay that W11 Arm support is still immature so also prepared for it not to work) when N1/N1X comes out unless the SoC is actually different I don’t think it should not work. It’ll just be far more useful if it does for me, where else would you get a portable compute puck with NVIDIA in it right now.
As mentioned in other threads, Spark is only supported on DGX OS. You can try other operating systems, but support, triage, and roadmap guidance will be nonexistent. If you ever need hardware support or an RMA, you may be asked to reimage back to DGX OS since all diagnostics and procedures are built around it.
