A40: Change from TCC to WDDM on Windows 2019 causes a hang on reboot

Hi, we are having issues when we use the Nvidia-SMI application to change our A40 cards from TCC to WDDM. Both cards are marked as graphics as opposed to compute but when we reboot after running the nvidia-smi -fdm 0 command, the server hangs. We did originally manage to get outputs on a DisplayPort monitor but the system gradually became unstable and we were forced to re-install the OS. The server is fully patched as is the BIOS and we are using the 538.46-data-center-tesla-desktop-winserver-2019-2022-dch-international driver. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Display Mode Selector Tool - make sure you download this tool first and switch to WWDM mode before running nvidia-smi -i 0 -fdm 0
