hello,
I can´t get the NVIDIA A40 Driver for RHEL 9 loading, in a Virtual Machine under VMWare Xen Server 7.0.

NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn’t communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running

Please help,
VMWare ESX Server detecs gpu as: NVIDIA GRID vGPU nvidia_a40-4q

The driver I installed in the VM is:
Data Center Driver for Linux RHEL 9 550.90.07 | Linux 64-bit RHEL 9

Please help

The VM detects the following:

grep -i nvidia
02:01.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GA102GL [A40] (rev a1)

As I understand I should be using virtua GPU driver instead of Bare Metal.
I’ll post the resolution
