Adding Chomatic Abberation as an NVIDIA Game Filter option

There are a lot of interesting filtering options through NVIDIAs game filter function, though one that doesn’t appear to be present that I think might be really appreciated would be Chromatic Aberration.

CA adds a lot of immersion for many people even though somewhat controversial when certain game titles force it on.

Personally I would love to see this as an option to add into the game where the game’s developers have not.

Some possible adjustment options might be:

  • Distortion strength in X and Y
  • LUT selection (RED-GREEN / GREEN BLUE / RGB)
  • Linear or lens simulation effect: Whether to render the effect uniformly across the display or decrease at the center and increase towards the edges simulating lens induced CA
