Audio problems with the 415.18 drivers

Using quadro P400 on steamos same issue!

Display Port audio stopped working with GTX 1060 card after upgrade to Ubuntu 18.10 with 418 Nvidia driver. It was working fine previously and worked great with Pulseaudio. Previous driver was 410 as far as I recall. With “upgraded” 418 driver HDMI audio still works but DP audio is not recognized. I get this for all the cards:

monitor_present 0
eld_valid 0

Bug report attached.
nvidia-bug-report.log.gz (747 KB)

I could confirm. The issue still exists in my case:
HP ZBook G2, Archlinux with 5.1.4-1-ck-haswell and NVIDIA 430.14 driver

Same issue here:
Ubuntu 19.04 with Canonical distributed nvidia-driver-418 on Dell Precision 7510, Nvidia Quadro M2000M - HDMI connected to DENON AVR. ELD does populate correctly on old nvidia-driver-390 as well as nouveau. All on the same kernel/alsa/pulseaudio version.

PS: How can i attach my nvidia-bug-report.log.gz?

Attaching files:
Hovering the mouse over an existing post of yours will reveal a paperclip icon.

There’s also this issue which might be related:
https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/1051916/linux/hdmi-audio-only-works-with-lid-open-quadro-k2100m-/
Turning off one monitor disables audio on the other monitor. Don’t know if this issue is caused by buggy display/connector enumeration?

I’m having this same problem with a Lenovo P50 with an M2000M card. Worked fine on the 410 drivers, but HDMI audio output hasn’t worked since I upgraded to 418/430.

Finally got back to this (and uploading my logs), after downgrading to 390, i installed the latest available drivers 430.14. Problem persists ofc, so here are my logs.

Am I the only one that notice it works 20% of the times (roughly)?

Check out this:

Wow… testing in a minute under Archlinux.

It works now! I had a boot with UEFI start image (sign it was not working before) and now sound works fine!

Working again with 430.26. Thanks Nvidia!
