Best Camera Port to Use

I believe I can use either the MIPI or USB3 port to receive a raw color bayer image stream., (13 MP 10 bit RAW).

Does it matter which port I use to capture the image? Meaning if I select the USB port or MIPI port, will I preclude myself from image processing and/or other significant functionality?

Use Case -

  1. I want to de-bayer the image for processing and display at 4K UHD.

  2. I want to do image processing on periodic stream frames for Digital Image Stabilization control of the camera and future requirements.

  3. I want to encode the video stream and save it to NVme solid state memory.

  4. I want to display the video stream, after image processing, to a 4K2K UHD monitor.

  5. I may want to run an AI network after doing deep learning.
