Hello,
Newbie question. I want to create a desktop application for windows, but having a heck of a time getting VS10-express to compile anything. After spending two weeks chasing down this SDK, that installer, and countless tweaks offered on forum threads; I’ve concluded this is a waste of time.
My question is: What is the best environment and tools I need to make a windows UI graphic program using this awesome CUDA libraries?
I just feel like there has got to be a better way than beating my head against the wall. I would greatly appreciate if someone would send me a “shopping list” of things so that I can get up and running as fast and painless as possible.
Thank you for your help.
GeoMagnet,
Lets start from the absolute beginning. What language are you using in VS2010? Can you compile a standard console application in that language in VS2010 without any CUDA enhancements.
Thanks for responding,
I thought I would use C++ so I installed a ton of SDK’s and other supporting files, then modified VS and got to the point where I can now compile a majority of the samples in the Optiks SDK. But, I don’t have any ability to introduce windows forms. I tried making a wrapper, but this is really getting discouraging.
Here’s what I want to do: Take for instance “ambocc” example and run it. I want to initialize a form that loads the output buffer into a picturebox and has a button that when clicked changes the size of the window. If someone could show me how that is done with the VS IDE, then I think I would be able to make some progress.
