Black Screen on boot after installing 560 drivers regardless of the distro

I have been trying to get to into linux as of the past few weeks, and I am having a lot of problems with my gpu not working with the 560 drivers…

I am on a 3070 rtx and Ryzen 5800x.

I am able to run the 550 drivers with no problem, they install perfectly on Linux Mint and Zorin OS, However, I wanted to try Ubuntu and Kubuntu as it has more updated drivers. Well, after doing a fresh install and trying open source and closed sources drivers for the 560, it would reboot and then boot into a black display. I cannot even access the ttys at all, and I am quite stumped. (Doesn’t matter if I install via terminal or the gui, still causes same issue.)

However, I am wondering if this is a issue with Wayland or etc… I have seen floating around on different forums that people were also getting a black screen problem and needed to enable some settings to get it to work.

Is this an issue that is been happening for other people? If so should I wait for new drivers to come out or?

Can you ssh into the system and create an nvidia-bug-report.log?

I can try, but it won’t let me open the ttys at all when I boot in.

does recovery mode work?
