Bug - 5120x1440 resolution turns off Samsung monitor as if wrong resolution is selected

Desktop KDE/Plasma
Monitor: Samsung ls49a950uipxen
Card: GeForce RTX 4070 Max-Q (Acer Helios Neo 18)
All previous kernels up to 6.13.1 have been tested
All drivers are affected up to 570.86.16 except 550.144.03 (this is Jan of 2025 driver working fine! on 5120x1440)

The issue with setting the ultrawide resolution still persists with driver 575.51.02!
When I select the 5120x1440 resolution, the monitor turns off and displays ‘Invalid resolution! It is recommended to set 5120x1440@60Hz.’ The last working driver version was 550.144.03.

Hi @blackpanther
Please help to share nvidia bug report from repro and no repro state.

The same issue, RTX3080, Samsung C49RG9, Gentoo/i3wm. With driver 570.x, the monitor turns off when trying to set 5120x1440 resolution. Everything works fine with 550.x, nouveau, and Windows. The problem was solved by setting the following kernel module parameters:

options nvidia-drm modeset=1
options nvidia-modeset hdmi_deepcolor=0
options nvidia-drm fbdev=1
