build problem in Visual Studio 2008?

Building a sample problem from CUDA but I believe the problem originates in VS2008.

Output:
Compiling with CUDA Build Rule…
“C:\Program Files\NVIDIA GPU Computing Toolkit\CUDA\v4.0\bin\nvcc.exe”
-gencode=arch=compute_10,code=“sm_10,compute_10\ "
-gencode=arch=compute_20,code=“sm_20,compute_20\ "
–machine 64 -ccbin “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\bin”
-Xcompiler “/EHsc /W3 /nologo /Od /Zi /MTd "
-I"C:\Program Files\NVIDIA GPU Computing Toolkit\CUDA\v4.0/include”
-I”./” -I"…/…/common/inc" -I"…/…/…/shared/inc"
-I"C:\Program Files\NVIDIA GPU Computing Toolkit\CUDA\v4.0\include"
-maxrregcount=0
–compile -o “x64\Debug/bandwidthTest.cu.obj” bandwidthTest.cu
Access is denied.

I believe the problem occurs because there is no folder “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\bin”. I’m running 64-bit Windows 7 and everything that has been installed is 64-bit related.

Suggestions or corrections? Help greatly appreciated!
