Can we update the SPE firmware online?

In real product applications, we can’t enter recovery mode to perform firmware updates. Therefore, we need a method to update the SPE firmware within Linux. It would be even better if the SPE firmware could take effect without a reboot.

From what I understand, the SPE firmware is stored in QSPI FLASH. Can this FLASH be accessed as a device by Linux?

For SPE firmware upgrading, if RCM is not available, you can try OTA. Refer to Software Packages and the Update Mechanism — NVIDIA Jetson Linux Developer Guide 1 documentation and check whether it can help.

For ’ SPE firmware could take effect without a reboot’, sorry that cannot be supported.
