Can't install NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-535.86.05 linux driver

I have an ASUS Model: G733ZW-XS96 that has a RTX 3070 TI graphics card. I am trying to install the LINUX driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-535.86.05. I’ve downloaded it and moved it into my linux environment. When I run it I get a message that says I don’t have supported GPU.

What distribution are you running? Have you tried using your distribution’s driver package if available?

So, have you tried using the NVIDIA drivers provided by Ubuntu? I don’t
recall which version 22.04 has, but it shouldn’t be /too/ far behind the
latest.
