We like using the Jetson Orin Nano Super developer kits here for student training and projects, but our usual environments are all Red Hat or equivalent. Once the boards have been updated by the SDKManager using an Ubuntu machine (we don’t mind keeping one around for this purpose), can we change the OS to a RHEL-like one for compatibility with the rest of our systems?
Sorry that we donot support other OS than we provided at this moment, but you can refer to Fedora on Jetson AGX Orin - Jetson & Embedded Systems / Jetson AGX Orin - NVIDIA Developer Forums to see other developer’s sharing if can help. Thanks
Thanks! I also fouond this from Red Hat about their Tech Preview to support both Jetson Orin Nano and ITX Jetson Orin.
This is really important in some large-scale data center settings in which we are not allowed to use Ubuntu for internal security reasons! We use these products for advanced data center automation and have to use vetted versions of the OS with tight restrictions. I hope NVIDIA will expand the range of supported systems with this consideration in mind. Thanks again for the reply.
