Constant Signal Loss / No Display Output on Samsung ViewFinity S9 (5K) with Studio Drivers newer than 591.74

I am experiencing a critical issue where my Samsung ViewFinity S9 (S27C900 series) loses display signal completely or fails after enabling HDR or rebooting. This issue persists across all NVIDIA Studio Driver versions released AFTER version 591.74.

  • Issue Version: All versions post-591.74

  • Monitor: Samsung ViewFinity S9 5K (S27C902PAI)

  • Symptoms: No display output, fails to sync, signal lost when toggling HDR.

There are multiple reports from other users on Reddit and NVIDIA forums experiencing the exact same behavior with this specific 5K monitor. It seems to be a regression related to DSC (Display Stream Compression) or HDR handshaking in newer driver branches.

I managed to solve this by turning off input signal plus temporarily (capped at 4k30) in ViewFinity S9 > All settings and then reverting back to older version of the driver.

But yeah - this issue needs solving ASAP

This affects both windows and linux, both OS has many developer that using RTX cards, it’s not a gaming specific bug.
