CUDA with scientific linux

Hi ,
i am willing to install scientific linux in my pc. Which toolkit should i install? CUDA Toolkit for RedHat Enterprise Linux 4.8 or the 5.3?

Depends which version of SL you are going to install. For SL4 use the RHEL4 package and for SL5 use the RHEL5 package.

Dimitris13,

Please let us know how it works out - I had a recommendation for Scientific Linux from a trusted mentor, but was steering away from it because it isn’t officially supported by nVidia for CUDA. I suspect it will work, but would like to know if there are any issues, etc.

Regards,

Martin

I’ve used Scientific Linux 4 and 5 with CUDA since the beginning (of CUDA). Since it is just a rebuild of the RHEL sources, you should have no problems. Just match up the version numbers, as suggested above.
