DGX Spark - Day 1 - Installation went fine but upon restart no wifi and no LAN

I got dgx spark. I logged in first time and went through setup process. it was fine. i connected to internet and browsed build nvidia site. i powered off and next day, when i turned on, it didn’t detect network - both LAN and wifi- and i can no longer connect to internet as well.

I researched a bit and it shows the realtek ethernet is detected but there’s no driver or kernel issue. also after creating a ticket and doing basic troubleshoot, it says no wifi adapter found. the ticket has been escalated but I am worried that I spent 4K and coudn’t use it even for a coouple of hours.

Sharing some of the commands that was used during live chat for basic troubleshooting, which may be useful to those having similar issues.
1, sudo systemctl status NetworkManager

  1. sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager
  2. .Power cycling:
Try power cycling the DGX Spark. Hold the power button on the back of the device for five seconds. Wait five seconds, then press and release the power button to turn the DGX Spark back on

I researched a bit with chatgpt/gemini and running few commands, both of them mentioned that kernel detected the realtek semiconductor ethernet but the driver is corrupt. hoping somebody can assist.
