DGX Spark Recovery Media

I forgot the DGX Spark login password. How can I reset the password. Do I need to follow this procedure System Recovery — DGX Spark User Guide? How can I confirm I have the Spark Founders Edition? I can get to step 7 but it fails to boot from the usb? “I get error vllinuz not found.” Any suggestions?

The Founders Edition has a unique design and a NVIDIA logo at the front. There are no other NVIDIA versions than the Founders Edition.

There is or was an issue with USB boot media creation script for MacOS with a wrong path in it. So may be you have to wait until its fixed or you have to check the script on your own.

See DGX Spark boot failure after installing LLM model - #8 by SparkUser for the fix.

Thanks for all the help. I was able to follow the procedure and am enjoying the Spark. Thanks

I am using the same procedure for System Recovery.

I am on step 5 where after confirming that “Secure Boot” is set to “Enabled” I need to select “Restore Factory Keys”. However, the up/down arrow keys do not allow selecting “Restore Factory Keys”. It allows changing only “Secure Boot” and “Secure Boot Mode”. Any suggestion on how to overcome this problem? Thanks.

The instructions are missing the following step :

  • after setting secure boot to ‘active’ go down and change the boot mode from standard to the other options. That allows you to complete step 5-6

Yes, that worked. We need to change Secure Boot Mode from “Standard” to “Custom”.

Hi everyone, sorry if this is off-topic, but I ran into a problem.

I’m using an Apple display, and at first, the screen was black — so I thought there was an issue and decided to reflash the device.

During the BIOS and flashing process, the display worked fine, so I assumed everything was going in the right direction.

However, after the OS installation and boot, the screen went black again. I figured it might be a monitor issue, but now I also don’t see any SSID or Wi-Fi hotspot.

(Yes, I found out that Spark isn’t compatible with my display over Thunderbolt, but I’m not sure what to do next.)

Should the hotspot appear automatically after flashing, or is the only way to connect now through a monitor?

I also connected it to my router via LAN, but I couldn’t SSH into it — I assume it still needs some initial setup.
