We are currently having an issue accessing the discrete GPU on Drive PX2 Autochauffeur. We can see the stats in tegrastats and query the current frequency.
However, running examples such as nvrm_gpuclk will return an error with a bug report: Bug 200215060 workaround enabled.
Using cudaGetDeviceProperties and cudaGetDeviceCount is also fruitless and only the integrated GPU is reported as available.
Incidentally, we tried updating our PX2 (so maybe that solves the problem) using the SDK manager, but the second step does not load with a loadStage2Error.

Thank you for your response. SDKManager fails before step 3. I have attached the error we get in Step 2. This is even before we can enable logging, so we do not know the source of this error.

This is strange. Please double check System requirements, Proxy settings section in sdkmanager user guide (https://developer.nvidia.com/DRIVE/secure/files/SDKManagerUserGuide.pdf)
Can you delete ~/.nvsdkm folder and download sdkmanager again (https://developer.nvidia.com/DRIVE/secure/files/sdkmanager-0.9.9.2351) and check installing.

I have tried the second solution to no avail.
As for system requirements, we were using Linux Mint 19.1 based on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. I have tried SDKManager on virtual machines (without the USB connection) with the same result. I have tried everything short of installing Ubuntu 16.04 on a physical machine. I will try that and get back to you. Again to reiterate, the issue is in Step 02 while loading the license agreement, etc.
Going back to the original question, do you think that updating to the latest Drive OS would solve our issue with dGPU?

If the issue is related SW, it can be resolved by re-flashing the board. If the issue with HW, you will still notice this issue, in that case get back to us again.
