Hello!

I have a couple of questions about Xavier NX displayport.

  1. In specification it is mentioned that Displayport version is 1.4 (max 8k resolution), but the max resolution is 4k. (Xavier NX datasheet)
  2. If the resolution is 4k max, does it support displayport multi-stream to two 4k 60 displays?

Hello,

We can have 2 separate DP heads but not multi-stream.

8k is still under experimental. You can try it too.

By experimental you mean that it might not work for some displays or is it working but not validated with enough devices?

Do you mean dual DP ports or just for one 8k? If you just want to try 8k, plug and play is fine.

Maybe one more question.

What about nonstandard resolutions that are in bandwidth limits, like 7680 x 2160 (half of 8k) will they work fine?

Hi,

Our driver may only accept the modes from CEA mode list.

So it seems that the right EDID config will work without problems, maybe an addition to the CEA mode list needs to be done.
