Does Jetson Thor Dev Kit support SAMSUNG SSD 9100 PRO 8TB and will it work with included heatsink?

I’m looking at upgrading the included drive to this: Amazon.com: SAMSUNG SSD 9100 PRO 8TB, PCIe 5.0x4 M.2 2280, Seq. Read Speeds Up to 14,800MB/s, Best for AI Computing, Gaming, and Heavy Duty Workstations (MZ VAP8T0B/AM) : Electronics

Will this be compatible with device, power usage, heatsink, etc.?

Do not get one with a heat sink. It will not fit. look at the bottom of your Thor. Nvidia has a substantial metal heatsink that works well with the “SAMSUNG 990 PRO SSD 4TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280”. The silicon padding insulation also peals off of existing 1tb nvme drive and transfers to the new drive. I chose the 990 as it is pcie 4.0. That is same generation pcie as the oem western digital 1tb drive.

990 Item Dimensions L x W x Thickness 3.15"L x 0.87"W x 0.09"Th
PCIe 4.0 x4, NVMe (Gen4)

9100 Item Dimensions L x W x Thickness 3.2"L x 0.9"W x 0.15"Th
PCIe 5.0 x4, NVMe 2.0 (Gen5)

Thanks for the responses. For the 4 tb, like @whitesscott said it is .09”, and 8TB is .06” thicker. I know it’s probably tough to tell, but do you think that will align with the screws on the existing heat sink? I guess the silicon padding would probably compress to make it fit. Any thoughts on that?
