Drivers problem with GeForce RTX 3090 (Razer Core X eGPU) Ubuntu 22.04

I am struggling to connect eGPU with RTX 3090 inside to my Ubuntu. The device is recognized by lspci, but nvidia-smi gaves the following output:

NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.

Drivers were installed with “ubuntu-driver install”.

Also, when I reboot with eGPU plugged in, the system does not restart, instead I need to switch off and then switch on a computer with a power button. I have disabled secure boot, but it does not help.

Here is a bug report

I have no idea where to start from and will be grateful for any advice!

I’m having the same issue with Ubuntu 22.04. Please let us know if anyone has a solution
.

The mainboard doesn’t provide enough resources for the gpu. Please check for a bios update and use kernel parameter
pci=realloc
