Error: AnalysisService: failed to start event source Perf

Hello!

I installed NVIDIA Nsight Systems Version 2021.2.1.58-642947b Linux on Ubuntu 20.04 and trying to profile simple application, but get the error:

Could you tell me what this message means and how to fix it?

I am facing this error too. Any solutions to fix this so far ?

I had the same issue too. Then I found here that profiling needs root privileges. After assigning root privilege to run nsys profile, my error is gone!
