Hi,
Following my other post regarding setting the NVIDIA Control Panel Settings ( Nvidia Control Panel CLI \ API Change) I wanted to ask about exporting NVIDIA Control Panel Global Settings.
This superuser post How to backup Nvidia Control Panel preferences? - Super User suggest exporting the settings by copying nvdrsdb0.bin, nvdrsdb1.bin, nvdrssel.bin from C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\Drs (or the entire Drs folder) before installing the Nvidia GPU driver and then copying the files to Drs folder.
- Are there any drawbacks using this approach? can we break \ make things unstable?
- Can we copy those files to other PCs that have the same OS (Windows 10 in our case), GPU card & driver, and CUDA version (11.8) so will have the same Nvidia Control Panel settings?
- Are there any other concerns we should be aware off?
Thanks,
Liran.
