Failed to install mlnx-ofed-kernel-dkms DEB

Hello,

I am writing to request your assistance in resolving an issue I am encountering when running the mlnxofedinstall command.

When I execute the following command:

./mlnxofedinstall --without-dkms --add-kernel-support --kernel 6.5.0-26-generic --without-fw-update --force

I receive the following error message:

Failed to install mlnx-ofed-kernel-dkms DEB
Collecting debug info...
See /tmp/MLNX_OFED_LINUX.3410856.logs/mlnx-ofed-kernel-dkms.debinstall.log"

I attached the logs. I am using the iso image MLNX_OFED_LINUX-5.8-4.1.5.0-ubuntu22.04-x86_64.iso, and my operating system is a VMware-based Ubuntu 22.04.

Hello shahizat,

Thank you for posting your inquiry on the NVIDIA Developer Forum - Infrastructure and Networking - Section.

The RN of this MLNX_OFED version shows that the kernel version you are using is not supported. You can try again with the latest driver as it support kernel version 6.10 so that will have at least the needed headers.
