Fermi support?

I guess they might wait until, enough people transition over to newer cards and let the fermis dies out?

I won’t change my card. GTX 580 with 1 ghz gpu clock is more than fine with 3 gb vram(i will move, so i need the money for this). Anyway, i will talk to AMD guys. I know few of them. So if i can make an arrangement about special deal for Fermi owners to change to AMD video card, it is a better deal for all of us.

I use an free AMD FX 8350@4.9 CPU because of them.

Well that would be really awesome!

Believe or not the “GTX 560 Ti 2Gb” in my home started to have 3D problems and after that complete system crash problems. Digging in dmesh I’ve found “Xid” and “os_schedule” problems…
I removed the card from the slot and put it again and some times it not happen for the entire night and other times after five minutes the same happens again. I did a windows 8.1 installation in another disk and the same happens in games…

So maybe soon that I was expecting I will start my AMD journey, I simply don’t have money, if you arrange some good deals I would be very interested. Until that, my old monster “8800 GTX” is living again! :)

Time to clean your pci-e slot and your vga pins. I had sort of problems before. I was able to only run in pci-e 4x mode because of the dust. After cleaning , no more problems.
Unfortunately , i haven’t had the chance to talk to AMD guys. This holiday, pretty much mess up everything.

They are dropping Fermi support from the debugger. Looks like EOL

That’s really amazing!

From getting DX12 and Vulkan support to apparently EOL in less than a year!

They really suprise me…

Full support, Vulkan ready… just a few months ago. And now, without any explanation, EOL.
Unbelievable

Vulkan API implementation even easier on Fermi , compare to DX 12 . Less restrictions.

And changelogs show they are removing Fermi code, which means at least part of the work is already done.

Why nvida cheating on fermi family?
364.72 is not game ready for quantum break.
It just only show you “break”.

They care more about money than users :(

If they support one of the new APIs it’ll most likely be DX12. The games market on Windows is huge

Even more reasons to support Vulkan, since DX12 only gives you access to the ~30% Windows 10 market, while Vulkan works on Windows 10, 7 and 8.

This is so unfair, Nvidia needs to understand that not everyone can go out there year on year and buy a new laptop or graphics cards as they do not come cheap. My 5 series Fermi card with 2GB memory still runs like a beast and i see no need of gaming at ultra or very high settings. I would prefer save my money up and get the upcoming PS4.5 or a better AMD card as they seem much cheaper. If Nvidia has decided to drop support for Fermi cards altogether the least minimum they should do is empower open source drivers like Nouveau to give support for Vulkan API on Fermi Cards. Nvidia should also answer where is the DirectX12 support they have mentioned on their website for Fermi Cards ??

just fucking nvidia. its very disappointed. stop buying new GPU from Nvidia !! its bullshit !! they just thinking about money. nvidia liar about they promised

I’m pissed I wanna play FORZA 6!!! gtx 560

I fairly recently bought an MSI 730 GT, wasn’t looking for a powerhouse or anything, just something more modern… Saw that it supported OpenGL 4.5 (awesome), DX 12 (meh), and that it was supposed to support Vulkan.

So after NVIDIA release the beta Vulkan drivers, I tried them out and wondered why it wasn’t working!

Well, apparently, this new card I bought, there are two variations of it… One Fermi, one Kepler!
So, no Vulkan for me.

Granted I’m not out much money (was only $60), but I’m still rather pissed that I can’t play around with Vulkan.

Came here to add my voice…it’s a big number of customers you’re leaving behind, i ofc was thinking about nvidia for my new desktop, but i’m seeing that you can’t even keep a promise just for marketing purposes and are pushing the video cards into obsolescence when yourselves admitted that they’re capable of DX12. I’m sorry you should honestly have planned it all from the beginning, i don’t think it would take much effort for you to give dx 12 to Fermi, you’re just afraid of losing potential upgraders in my opinion. Here it goes the legendary nvidia support, and also where are the devs? Busy not developing fermi?

I won’t buy a new graphic card. I can wait with my Fermi, which you officially announce Vulkan support for it, a little bit more. So if you want my money, you will have to wait too… and I can suddenly change my opinion and don’t buy anything from you anymore. But it’s not a technical issue, just a political decision based on your recent behavior ^^

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Take a look THIS!!!
