GeForce GTX 1650 not detecting external monitor. Ubuntu 19.10

I am running Ubuntu 19.10 on a Lenovo TP X Carbon gen 2. I am unable to get external monitors to display on either HDMI or USB C. Ubuntu tells me that the graphics are:
llvmpipe (LLVM 9.0, 256 bits) so it appears the nvidia graphics card is not being used.

nvidia-smi gives:
