GeForce RTX 2070 Super nvlink/SLI Bridge

Hello,

I am just setting up a Machine Learning Workstation and purchased two GeForce RTX 2070 Super for Multi GPU Configuration.

As that involves a professional decision, I was requested from the Computer Store to purchase the SLI Bridge by my self.

I have looked at this: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/design-visualization/nvlink-bridges/

and this: https://www.geforce.com/nvidia-sli-bridges

I believe nvlink will provide better performance but is it supported by the GeForce RTX 2070 Super GPU?

or should I get the SLI bridges? How many slots should I purchase?

Your help is highly appreciated,
Rotem

RTX 2070 doesn’t support bridges of any kind.

That is RTX 2070 Super: https://www.tweaktown.com/articles/9047/nvidia-geforce-rtx-2070-super-nvlink-benchmarked/index.html

Thanks,
Rotem

In the Specs, it is written that a single GPU is 2 slots wide: https://www.nvidia.com/en-eu/geforce/graphics-cards/rtx-2070-super/

Thanks

Then you can use the same GeForce RTX bridges as are available for 2080/2080TI

The choice of slot dimensions will depend on your motherboard slot spacing.

is that these ones: https://www.geforce.com/nvidia-sli-bridges

or these ones: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/design-visualization/nvlink-bridges/

Thanks,
Rotem

this is the motherboard: Z390 AORUS PRO (rev. 1.0) Key Features | Motherboard - GIGABYTE Israel
Do you know which will fit it?

Thanks,
Rotem

I’m referring to the bridges (3-slot and 4-slot) listed here:

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/rtx-2080/

No, I don’t know which one will fit your motherboard.

The 2070 Super page actually lists the nvlink bridges:

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/rtx-2070-super/

scroll down on that page, you will find the 3-slot and 4-slot bridges listed there.

Below the listed bridges you will find a link to a popup “Help Me Choose Which Size >” which may be useful.

I apologies, I looked at this page but did not find the specified listing.

I also searched “slot”, “Size”, and “bridge” but seem to find none on this page.

[In the specs I see “Yes - With NVIDIA RTX NVLink BridgeNVIDIA NVLink™ (SLI-Ready)” but did not see and link to help choose the size]

Can you please direct me to the right place?

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/rtx-2070-super/

just scroll down the page until you see nvlink

alternatively, search on “nvlink” on that page.

It turned out it directed to the Europe site automatically, where this listing was not present.

Thank you very much for your help, it was very valuable.

Just for future reference, if someone needs to find an answer to this question, it seems the answer here:

provide the plausible solution:

“If I plan on using the top two PCI slots I’m gonna need a 3 slot, and if I was to use the top and bottom slot which makes no sense… I’d need a 4 slot nvlink”

(The Motherboards Z390 Aorus Master and Z390 Aorus Pro seems to have the same span between the slots by inspecting their images).

Have a wonderful day,
Rotem
