Just got the Asus monitor with Pulsar. It works on Linux, but ONLY if you boot into Windows, enable Pulsar, then boot back into Linux. That sounds like a pain. Although, good news are: It seems to work, so as long as NVIDIA adds the support in the driver, we should be good! Hopefully they’ll take a look at this soon!

This is a very interesting observation! I’m sure they are aware of this, but it might still be a good idea to post it in the 590 driver feedback thread along with a bug report attachment, just in case. I’m also quite interested in Pulsar but I’m waiting for Linux support before I commit.

I’d also like to add that I’m waiting on linux support before moving forward with a pulsar monitor.

Sorry I should have clarified, it’s only a full poweroff. If you let it sleep, it will retain pulsar mode fine. I ended up keeping the monitor and made sure to only let it go to sleep on its own and it works. If I did need to enable it again, a GPU passthrough virtual machine will also work without …
