I use Ubuntu.
My pc is:

Dell VOSTRO 1510 (notebook)
Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU T8300 @ 2.40GHz
RAM 4.0Gb
NVIDIA Corporation G86M [GeForce 8400M GS] (rev a1)

What driver should i use?

Try 340.96.

If you’re using a newer Ubuntu you might want to add this PPA:

And then add the nvidia-graphics-drivers-340 and nvidia-settings packages.

Linux-Mint, Elementary-OS, etc.
